The Staff Training weekend was a success.
Thanks to all those who came out.
Who: All cadet and senior staff.
If you have not been excused by the encampment or cadet commander, you must be present.
What: Required Staff Training which will include hazing and operational risk management briefings required by NHQ.
Additionally we will have individualized training and team building activities to prepare you to serve on staff.
Where: Dobbins ARB in Marietta, GA. Bring photo ID and CAPID to gain vehicle access to the base.

Those arriving Friday Night: Come through the entrance off of Cobb Pkwy/HWY 41. Immediately on your right after going through the main gate will be billeting. Go into the main lobby but do not check in at the main counter. Instead, go left to the day room where you will met Lt Col Card with you key and room assignments. Please try to arrive between 1800-2000.
Those arriving Saturday Morning: Come through the entrance off of Cobb Pkwy/HWY 41. Go straight for about 1/2 mile until you reach bldg 727 on the left hand side. It is a one story black building with white trim. Look for CAP signs. Arrive no later than 0800.
When: Arrive for morning briefing at 0800 on Saturday May 17th. Billeting will be available onsite Friday night for those
from out of town. The weekend will conclude Sunday May 18th midday. All members must be present for the entire weekend.
Required items for the weekend:
- 1 set of BDUs (inspection ready)
- PT gear (consult CAPM 39-1) Must be solid color.
- Sleeping bag (unless you want to sleep on the floor)
- Personal toiletries (towels, soap, and shampoo will be provided)
- $5.00 to cover some expenses
- Paper/pen to take notes
Since we will only be having one training weekend, we will have a tight schedule that must be adhered to. Please come ready to learn and be prompt! |
