C/Col Yoni Gorlin
Cadet Commander
Colonel Gorlin joined CAP in 2002 with the goal of getting his pilot's license. Along the way to his pilot's license, Yoni developed a deep respect for the cadet program and the monumental potential it unleashes in America's youth. He is currently an Electrical Engineering student at Georgia Tech and is employed by Cisco Systems. This will be Yoni's sixth encampment after staffing numerous encampments across the southeast region. He enjoys attending CAP's summer national activities such as the International Air Cadet Exchange, and encourages all cadets to take part in these unique programs. Recently, Yoni achieved his goal of obtaining his private pilot certificate, but along the way, took advantage of other opportunities in CAP. In his free time, he enjoys flying (when money permits) and between classes is an avid moviegoer. His decorations include: The Carl Spaatz Award, and 3 Commander's Commendations.
Words of Wisdom:
In CAP or any other aspect of life, you get out of it what you put into it. Hard work and dedication to what you believe in will lead you to accomplish anything.
C/Capt Trent Badger
Cadet Deputy Commander
Captain Badger is a native Georgian with four sisters and one brother. Currently a freshman at Augusta State University, he is an aspiring Air Force Officer. This will be his fifth encampment, after participating in two and staffing two. He is deeply passionate about the cadet program, and finds Encampment an excellent time to hone leadership skills and develop a sense of discipline. Additionally, Trent is a proud CAP Honor Guardsman where he enjoys working with rifles. In his free time he enjoys making videos with his brother (go to YouTube search lipsink Jesusfreak). His decorations include: The Amelia Earhart Award, the Meritorious Service Award, and a Commander's Commendation.
Words of Wisdom:
Although CAP provides a great public service to our nation and its youth, always remember our brothers and sisters in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force who fight for our freedom.
