GUIDELINES FOR CADET AND SENIOR MEMBER CONDUCT The following items WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AT THE ENCAMPMENT and will be confiscated unless otherwise noted.
1. Food and beverages of any sort are not allowed in the dormitory/billets. This includes candy, gum, chips, snack food, confectionery items, canned goods, packaged products, fruits, produce, etc. Cadets with special dietary requirements must notify Encampment Commander, Commandant of Cadets and Medical Officer, in writing of those needs prior to reporting to the encampment.
2. Nintendos/any portable electronic gaming device.
3. I-pods, MP3 devices and portable radios.
4. Cellular phones including Blackberry. Senior members will be allowed cell phones in case of emergency needs while supervising any and all operations of the encampment.
5. Weapons- this includes anything from a toy gun to real guns and any type of knife.
6. Any T-shirts, shoes or other clothing with inappropriate sayings/slogans/print. The decision on the appropriateness of an item is left to the discretion of the encampment commander. The decision is final and NO appeals will be allowed.
7. Pornographic material or any material of questionable taste will be mailed home to parents/guardians with notification to the wing commander.
8. Tobacco and any tobacco products. Senior members- No smoking in any government building and allowed only in smoking areas away from cadets/cadet operational areas.
9. Alcohol and any alcoholic beverage of any sort.
10. Narcotics of any sort.
11. Drugs of any sort. HOWEVER, prescription medications are exempt from this restriction provided the cadet has written authorization/permission from parents and/or physician. All prescriptions must be in ORIGINAL CONTAINER and must be reported to the Encampment Commander and Medical Officer upon in processing.
Cadets or senior members found using or in possession of any of the items on this list are subject to immediate disciplinary actions.
Any violation involving narcotic, drugs, weapons or alcohol will be called to the attention of the appropriate authorities. The individual will be immediately expelled from the encampment. The individual’s chain of command up to the wing commander will be notified immediately for personnel action as deemed necessary.
No Medication will be administered to any cadet by another cadet at any time.
Violation of Encampment Rules
Encampment Rules and Policies are established for the Safety and Protection of all encampment participants. They also allow the encampment to be run in an orderly, effective manner. These rules are not optional. All members must obey them.
Any individual found to be in violation of the encampment rules will be subject to disciplinary actions. This action will be commensurate with the seriousness of the offense. If necessary, the individual will be expelled from the encampment by the encampment commander. Then disciplinary action may be taken by the chain of command up to the termination of CAP membership. No refunds will be given for an incomplete stay at the encampment.
The following actions are PROHIBITED at the Encampment:
Abuse - either verbal or physical
Altercations – either verbal or physical
Disrespect – to cadet or senior staff, or members of supporting units
and organizations
Fraternization – beyond the bound of normally accepted propriety
Harassment – either verbal or physical
Hazing – of any sort
Insubordination – to cadet or senior staff
Lying – of any sort for any reason
Malicious Behavior – of any sort
Nepotism – all related personnel will treat each other professionally,
as if the relationship did not exist
Profane or derogatory language
Sexual Harassment – of any sort
Sexual Misconduct – of any nature
Stealing – from any person, the organization or the facility
Vandalizing Property – either personal, corporate or facility
Unauthorized Absence – at any time or from any location, assignment,
class or duty
Willful Negligence – in any manner which results in any injury,
damage, or loss of property
This list is published as a guide. It is not considered to be totaled inclusive and may be expanded as circumstances dictate.
BARRACKS RULES
1. No smoking, open flames or fires of any kind.
2. All trash will be emptied daily.
3. Aisles will be kept clear at all times.
4. Barracks will be kept clean at all times with personal gear stowed in its proper place.
5. Electrical items will not be left plugged in. Nor will they be used in the bathrooms.
6. No horseplay of any kind to include practical jokes.
7. Charge of Quarters will be in effect from lights out until reveille. Stay awake and alert when on duty.
8. Shoes will be worn at all times, to include wearing flip flops/shower shoes to and from bathroom.
9. All personnel must be on watch for their safety and the safety of others.
10. Think safety: act safely, be safe and use common sense!
11. Drink plenty of water throughout the day!

5. Black Sole Dressing
6. Weapons- knives of any size, guns of any type to include toy guns
Helpful Hints for Encampment Success
· All cadets will participate in physical fitness training to include taking the P.T. Test (unless exempt for medical reasons).
· All foot gear should be broken in prior to encampment to help prevent foot injuries.
· Remember that we are guests at Fort Stewart and our conduct should be that of guests.
· All your equipment and uniforms will be inspected throughout the duration of the encampment.
· Any thing found that is prohibited will be confiscated, tagged and returned upon departure from encampment.
· Cadets will not be allowed to leave the encampment without the permission of Encampment Commander.
· Have approved medications in original containers packaged in a clear zip lock bag with cadet’s name on it. Have it ready for the medical officer’s review during in-processing.
