Day 1 was kicked off with Encampment staff arriving before cadets arrived in order to set-up camp. When basic cadets began to trickle through the doors, Administrative staff got down to business with the in processing. Medical staff worked diligently with turned in medication and support staff checked cadet's luggage for contraband such as food, phones and other electronics. Almost immediately cadets became familiar with their fellow room mates and life style of the week to come. They took entry drill test and written test so that they could be rewarded at the end of encampment based off of their improvements. As the eventful day wound down, cadets returned to their and prepared for bed. So that they would be ready for day 2
