It’s been a successful first day here at this year’s Georgia Wing Encampment. There were no injuries and all of the new arrivals have had their hungers satisfied with their first meals here at Fort Stewart. The cadets have been handed high expectations by our staff but these have only motivated them. They have begun a long trip to a new destination some have never seen before. By the time they reach this destination, cadets will be taught a new level of discipline but will also be given opportunities to match the amount of work they procure. All of the cadets here have set personal goals today, whether it be winning individual cadet of the day awards, or being a member of the honor flight of the day. By the end of the first day, these cadets have accomplished a lot. With all the opportunities that lay ahead of them, the next six days will be just as productive.
